The Tithe Barn Trust is inviting the public to help shape the future of the Tudor Tithe Barn. The Tithe Barn Trust is a small charity aiming to save and sympathetically restore the 16th Century Grade II listed Tithe Barn for community use.

Gemma O’Shea, Tithe Barn Trust Trustee, says “We’re inviting everyone to tell us what community use you’d like to see the Tithe Barn used for. It’s really exciting and full of possibilities: how about a community cinema, your wedding venue or a place for your children’s school visits? We want to make sure that the Tithe Barn has a sustainable future and generates its own income for maintenance. This is the start of a phased public consultation, so get involved and complete our short survey.”

You can complete the short survey on their website or if you’d prefer a paper copy call 07986 717958.

The Trust have been working hard and are beginning to prepare a Heritage Lottery Fund grant bid, but they still need your help to save this gem at the heart of Landbeach. They have raised over £64k but over £250k still needs to be raised to fully restore this unique building. They believe the Tudor Tithe barn, with thatched roof and 18th century brick floor, to be unique to Cambridgeshire and even of national significance. Over 90% of Tithe Barns have been developed.
