Bus Service

If you have a specific requirement for transport that is not now being met, please complete the Questionnaire or contact The Clerk.

Mobile Warden

If anyone is interested in hearing more about joining this scheme, please contact the Mobile Warden (07977219403) or Melanie Hale (07740948906) for further information. This will be in total confidence.

Mobile Vehicle Activated Signs

The MVAS operated for 3 weeks at Southern end of High Street. This location showed generally higher levels of speeding than any other, so, subject to more monitoring, there could be a case for introducing a 40mph slow-down zone coming into the village from the South. Much the same as in Waterbeach on Car Dyke road.

More volunteers have come forward. They are going through the process of putting in place a more comprehensive rota.

Centenary of the end of the First World War

To commemorate the men of Landbeach who lost their lives in World War I, the Parish Council planted an Oak tree on the recreation ground opposite the church and on Saturday 10 November a plaque recording the names of the men lost was unveiled. This was followed by refreshments in the church which had been beautifully decorated for the occasion. We would like to say a very big ‘Thank You’ to the Flower Arrangers who really provided a display to treasure.

Questionnaire

Please complete the Questionnaire distributed last month in order that your views can be taken into consideration by 3 December 2018.

Fencing Children’s Play Area

Three quotations had been received and one agreed at the last Parish Council meeting. The fencing will be replaced as soon as possible.

We would like to wish all Landbeach people a very good Christmas and a Happy New Year 2019.
