Crime – There has been a report of someone in motorcycling gear trying to steal a bicycle in Green End; luckily it was locked at the time. Please be vigilant.

Road Accidents – Anglian Water have confirmed that the manhole cover on the bend by All Saints’ Church will be replaced on 1 July 2019.

Waterbeach Barracks – Waterbeach Community Forum – The next Forum is on 9 October 2019.

Affordable Housing – SO New Homes Ltd is currently offering 3 new Shared Ownership Homes at Gibson Close, Waterbeach (off the Green, next to the pharmacy). Qualifying persons with a local connection to Landbeach have second priority (after Waterbeach locals).

The way that Shared Ownership works is that you buy and own a share of the house; SCDC retains the rest and charges you rent on its share.

The properties are 2-bedroom houses, in an alone-standing building within the Gibson Close development. They have good size, turfed and fenced rear gardens and allocated parking. Kitchens are equipped with a range of domestic appliances. Estimated completion is September 2019. More details about the homes can be found at http://sonewhomes.org.uk/waterbeach

Defibrillator – Please be aware that there is a Defibrillator attached to the rec side of the Village Hall. Full instructions are given on the front of it on how to use it.

Slide – The slide in the Play area has been repaired.

Ditch on Cockfen Lane – The ditch has been cleared but the debris has been left on the side. This needs to be cleared as soon as possible as it looks unsightly and will damage the grass.
