COVID-19 Support Group – Community Cupboard – Parish Council Meetings – Recreation Ground – Future Developments

Landbeach COVID-19 Support Group

The Support Group continues to be available if anyone needs help during this difficult time.

‘Test and Trace’ may mean that you are told to self-isolate at very short notice. If you have problems getting a grocery slot and need essentials, please contact The Clerk on 07724047656.

Likewise if you are otherwise unable to leave your home and need provisions or medication.

If the phone is not answered straight away, do leave a message and she will return your call. Or you can email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or phone 07740 948906 (Melanie).

Community Cupboard

The Community Cupboard in the Church porch is restocked regularly by Emmaus, the church, and the community. This is available to anyone in the village who has an immediate need for provisions.

Parish Council Meetings

Due to these exceptional circumstances, our regular Parish Council meeting will now be held remotely by Zoom on Monday 6 July at 7.30 p.m.

If you wish to receive an invite to this, please let the clerk know in advance.

Recreation Ground

Please take all your rubbish away if possible or put it in the bins provided.

The basketball nets cannot be reinstated at present because of their closeness to the play area.

Future Developments

Plans for the proposed cycle route from the Waterbeach New Town through Landbeach via Mere Way to Cambridge Regional College are in development. Details will become available following technical updates of the proposals, including a cycle and pedestrian bridge across the A10 just north of the Denny End junction.

We will soon have more information on Urban & Civic’s proposed bus route from Waterbeach New Town through the village to the Milton Park & Ride.

Looking ahead to more normal times, we would be interested to hear if you would use buses coming through the village and how frequent you would like these buses to be?

Please email the clerk with your feedback.
